“Things that happen all over the world cause a heavy impact on people’s lives, and Russia is no exception. The human rights situation in Russia is becoming more acute each year. We believe that the violation of human rights is unacceptable. With Hand to Hand VA we want to draw public attention to this problem and provide assistance to organisations involved in helping people faced with arbitrariness. We have brought together like-minded musicians who share the ideas of cooperation, freedom and unity.
All proceeds from the VA will be split equally between the Russian human rights organizations: Mediazona (an independent media platform focused on the judiciary, law enforcement and penal system in Russia founded by Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova) and OVD-Info (an independent human rights media project aimed at combating political persecution)”.
The Hand to Hand VA geography is: Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Romania, France, Ukraine, Israel, Lithuania, Greece, the Netherlands and the USA.
